Bio-Art Articulator Accessory Kit: fork holder, Fox ruler and Camper table

If you’re studying prosthodontics or gnathology, you’ve no doubt already heard of articulators: those devices that replicate the movements and positions of your jaw (both at rest and in motion) so that you can work on models as if they were the patient’s actual mouth. This Bio-Art kit contains the three essential accessories you need to ensure a correct and error-free set-up.

What does it include, and what is each piece used for?

Fork holder: holds the bite fork firmly in place during registration, preventing it from moving or becoming distorted whilst you work. A stable registration = a reliable set-up.
Fox’s ruler: helps you check that the occlusal plane is correctly oriented and parallel to the patient’s anatomical landmarks (bipupillary line and Camper’s plane).
Camper’s table: this is the base on which you mount the model following a standardised protocol. It incorporates reference lines that guide you in positioning the model correctly, which is crucial when you are still familiarising yourself with the technique.

When will you need it? In fixed and removable prosthodontics, whenever you need to mount models on a semi-adjustable articulator to simulate the patient’s maxillomandibular relationship.
