The Prichard Periostotome is a surgical instrument for the retraction of periodontal mucosa. It allows to separate the gingival tissue adhered to the bone from both the buccal and palatal aspects. The Prichard Periostome consists of two blades, one large flat and the other narrow with a rounded tip. With these two active parts, the Prichard Periostome can be used as a separator at one end and can be gently and atraumatically deiostized on the other.
