Description
Gates Glidden burs from Torino. Bur for contra angle, allows to eliminate dentin interferences at the entrance of the root canals. Also useful to widen the coronary third of the same. They act by cutting at the level of their lateral walls, by means of a rotation movement in which the active part of the drill must always enter and exit, since if it remains rotating within the conduit, gets stuck and can fracture. They are used sequentially in order to achieve the desired canal widening and shaping, while isolating the tooth walls and maintaining root curvature. When greater taper is desired, a larger GG is taken, conversely, when less taper is desired, a smaller GG is taken. Constant irrigation of the canal is important when using this type of biomechanical system.
The cutting blade diameter of Torino Gates Glidden cutters starts at 0.5mm and corresponds to GG#1, 0.7mm- GG#2, 0.9mm- GG#3, 1.10mm- GG#4, 1.30mm- GG #5 and 1.5mm- GG#6.
