The hole sizes designed for each tooth in the permanent dentition are:

#1 for mandibular central and lateral incisors (smallest) .
#2 for maxillary central and lateral incisors. Maxillary and mandibular canines.
#3 for premolars.
#4 for molars.
#5 for anchorage teeth (larger).

The oral cavity should be observed before drilling the holes to adapt them to the patient’s specific dentition. A space of 3 to 3.5 mm is maintained between the holes.
